The website is up! With the exception of the "links" and "photos" pages (future homes for past sponsors/articles/etc. and race photos), the site is up and hopefully legible. If you have any questions, let me know. Otherwise have a look. (I know it isn't perfect, but it's better than a stick in your spokes.)
Registration is going to open on the 1st of January. What this means is that you will be able to send me postcards regarding your willingness to participate in this event. It is free to enter. (Free does not mean that I want to get your postcard and take the time to gather your info and add it to my list just so you can change your mind because you have nothing invested in coming here to race.)
A quick note about commitment and where I stand on the issue:
If your not going to commit to riding on the 16th of May, please don't register. If you do commit and your car starts on fire the morning of the race and you cannot make it, that is something different. I don't want to sound like a prick, but this event takes a lot of my time and money and I want to keep it free because that is something I truly believe in. I am not asking for money, just help in keeping things moving along smoothly. If your not going to come because you don't feel like it, don't waste your time, mine or that of anyone else.
Sorry about that, but hey, I am just one man.
Back to the task at hand. There is no limit to how many persons can enter. I will keep the registration window open for one month. That's right, from January 1st to February 1st you can enter this race by sending a postcard with the following information to the address below:
-Name
-Racing Age
-Gender
-Class (Open, Single, Fixed)
-Electronic Mail Address
to
Almanzo 100
1217 7th Ave NW
Rochester, Minn.
55901
Send it and you shall ride.
*Disclaimer - I absolutely will not accept entrants prior to the 1st of January or after the 1st of February.
